Responsibilities


  • Conduct thorough medical assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, considering their medical history, symptoms, and individual needs.
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and other medical interventions as necessary.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms.
  • Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physician assistants, specialists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient charts, progress notes, and treatment plans.
  • Adhere to all relevant legal and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
  • Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities to stay current with advancements in medical knowledge and technology.
  • Contribute to the overall success and growth of Brandon Area Primary Care through active participation in quality improvement initiatives, team meetings, and community outreach programs.


Qualifications


  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Valid medical license in the state of Florida.
  • Board certification or eligibility in a primary care specialty (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics).
  • Completion of residency training in primary care or a related specialty.
  • Excellent clinical skills and diagnostic abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Dedication to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
